CAS Key Laboratory of Noise and Vibration work symposium was held in IACAS from Feb.23 to 24, 2010. Prof. TIAN Jing, Director of CAS Bureau of High-Tech Research and Development, Prof. LI Xiaodong, Director of the laboratory and other related scientists attended the symposium.

The symposium was chaired by LI Xiaodong. The principals of each project reported their research progress and problems in the "11th five-year plan" and made a strategic plan for the work during "12th five-year plan". The attendants made a warm discussion on the research work of noise source, acoustic materials, noise and vibration control, noise monitoring, etc.

In the conclusion speech, Prof. TIAN Jing pointed that the lab research directions should meet the demand of national strategy development demand and encouraged the lab staff to work out new research directions and make greater contribution to acoustic research.
