A signature ceremony for developing the new experimental towed ship was held in Thousand-Island Lake, Zhejiang Province on Feb.10, 2010. On behalf of IACAS, Deputy Director NI Hong presented at the ceremony and signed the construction contract with the Hangzhou Thousand-Island Lake Shipbuilding Co. Ltd.

On the ceremony, NI Hong extended his sincere thanks to Hangzhou Thousand-Island Lake Shipbuilding Co. Ltd. for their great support to Xinanjiang Experiment Station and hoped that the new ship would be designed delicately, constructed carefully and accomplished punctually.

The designed 32 meter-long and 6 meter-wide ship will be able to serve for dipping and installing experimental equipment, which can meet the new demand of the advanced underwater acoustic research.
