The 7th Chinese Younger Conference of Acoustics (CYCA'07) was held in the beautiful riverside city Wuhan from Sep.16-17, 2007. This conference was jointly organized by the Youth Committee of ASC and Navy University of Engineering. The theme of the conference was "Sound Information and Harmonious Society".
The opening ceremony was chaired by Prof. ZHANG Chunhua, the Secretariat of ASC. Many well-known professors attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. In Academician YANG Shie's report, he set great hopes to the young researchers. Prof. CHEN Weizhong, chairman of the conference explained some questions about the preparation and technique work. All together, the organizing committee received 215 papers and selected 199 excellent ones, published in the conference proceeding.
Prof CHEN Weizhong of Nanjing University, Prof. LI Xiaodong of IACAS and Prof. CAI Zhiming of Navy University of Engineering delivered wonderful reports titled: Acoustic Cavitation and Sonoluminescence, Communication Acoustics: Past, Present and Future and Definition and Development Tendency of Software Sonar, respectively. |
