The GB/T 19890-2005 "Characteristics Measurement of HIFU Sound Power and Sound Field" won the 1st prize of 2007 National Standard Innovation Awards, granted by General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and Standardization Administration. This standard was jointly draft out by Shanghai Jiao Tong University and IACAS. As the main writers of the standard, Professor ZHU Houqing and Professor NIU Fengqie of our institute won first prize, respectively.

The establishment of the standard and the researches on high intensity focused field attracted close attention and got high praise from the international colleagues. The practical results showed that this standard played an important role in regulating and guiding the research, manufacture and application of HIFU products, which had obtained obvious economic and social benefits. The national standard GB/T 19890-2005 had became a basic but important standard for the research in HIFU tumor therapeutic system and governmental administration in our country.
