Recently, IACAS was agreed to set up the Postdoctoral Research Station of Information and Communication Engineering by the Ministry of Personal and China Postdoctor Management Committee. This good news symbolized that our institute has stepped on a new stage in the filed of information research.

Up to now, our institute has already been authorized to set up postdoctoral research station both in Acoustics and Information Engineering. As early as in 1980s, the researchers in our institute have already noticed the close relationship between these two subjects. In the 3^rd stage of the innovation program, many labs were set up to do researches on information engineering, such as sonar technology, voice signal, communication acoustics, digital intelligence, system integration and so on. After restless efforts, our institute has obtained great achievements in the fields of information engineering research.
