On Aug. 26, with the closing of all the events of 2007 Qingdao International Regatta, the underwater security guard task was also fulfilled successfully.

2007 Qingdao International Regatta was open on Aug.9, 2007. This year's regatta is also recognized by the Beijing Olympic committee as one of the six combined test events and also one of the three Olympic level test events. The underwater security guard system for the regatta was jointly undertaken by IACAS and CAS Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics. The preparation work started from the beginning of April and the task for the security guard lasted nearly half a year. The researchers' hard work ensured the smooth accomplishment of the event. During the whole period, the leaders went to visit the researchers working there and highly praised their work.

By this test event, our research group was more confident in the underwater security task for 2008 Olympic Qingdao Regatta. The whole group was determined to work harder to perfect the performance of the device, improve the reliability of the device and provide the best service for the 2008 Olympic Games.
