Hou also pointed out Wimax was designed to serve the mobile network. "Not long ago, Microsoft and Google jointly advised the American Government to develop the Wimax at the frequency of 700Mhz". Although this proposal hasn't been ratified, Sprint Nextel has already applied Wimax at the frequency of 2.5Ghz.

However, the 700Mhz frequency and some related devices belong to the State Administration of Radio Film and Television.
