On Nov.31, Prof. Xu Hongfa from the Institute of Nuclear Energy Research (INER) visited IACAS. The aim of his visit is to exchange experiences in the research of nondestructive testing with the scholars in our institute.

During his visit, Prof. Xu Hongfa had a communication with the scholars and students of Ultrasonic Physics and Exploration Laboratory. After a brief introduction of the organization, history and research fields of INER, he had a detailed presentation on the researches of nondestructive testing of nuclear energy devices carried our in his institute. Prof. Zhang Bixing and Prof. Guo Chengbin also introduced the researches of nondestructive testing of industrial nuclear energy devices in our institute. They said our research results had been widely used in the drill rod detection, high-speed railway truck and body nondestructive testing and so on. A warm discussion was followed.
