Title: Concept, Standards and New Topics in Digital Video Technology

Abstract: In this talk, I will give an overview of concept and several new topics undergoing in MPEG standard activities in the area of digital video technology. During past few years, we have carried out many digital video related research topics and projects in several areas, which include: video compression, video transport and networking system, video transcoding, universal multimedia access, video summarization, video indexing, video segmentation, and video signal analysis. Some research results have been applied to the products and prototype of demonstrations. This talk will briefly introduce several new areas such as multiview video compression, high dynamic rang video coding and full color professional video coding.
