The Underwater Acoustic Environment Lab. (UAEL) in the Institute of Acoustics of Chinese Academy Sciences is recruiting a research professor world widely. This position will be financially supported by the Hundred Talent Program of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, together with the IACAS, with the total funding amount up to RMB 3.0 M.
1.Based on the funding of the Hundred Talent Program, you will act as a group leader for large-scale acoustic treatment, supervise Master and PhD students, and manage the group research progress. As the group leader, you will organize and develop a strong research team, manage related research project progress. On the other hand, you will identify research opportunities, and actively participate in existing research activities, conduct innovative research, and publish significant research articles.
2.You will actively seek for funding from the national research programs, such as the 863 and 973 projects. For more information about the 973 and 863 projects, please visit the websites http://www.973.gov.cn and http://www.863.gov.cn, or the other related funding from related industries
3.Through your effort, you will eventually establish a Lab. related to the Underwater Acoustic Engineering or Oceanic Acoustics, and lead this lab to conduct national flagship research, and fulfill the research work arranged by the Institute of Acoustic in realizing the Third Term Knowledge Innovation of the IACAS based in the Knowledge Innovation Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Job selection Criteria
1.You will have profound research experience in seafloor acoustics and sediment parameters extraction technique;
2.You will have comprehensive knowledge on seafloor acoustics, geoacoustic modeling, sediment acoustic parameters inversing and rapid obtaining methods of seafloor acoustic properties;
3.You will have strong research experience on in-situ obtaining technique of seabed acoustic properties and system development;
4.You will independently carry out or conduct up to two significant research and application projects about the seafloor acoustics and seabed acoustic parameters extraction technique through collaborating with related industries.
