State Key Lab. of Acoustics hunting for a group leader in ocean acoustics

State Key Lab. of Acoustics in the CAS Institute of Acoustics is recruiting a research professor world-widely. This position will be financially supported by the IACAS, with the total funding amount up to RMB 3.0 M.

Job Descriptions

1.You will act as a group leader for ocean acoustics, supervise Master and PhD students, and manage the group research progress. As the group leader, you will organize and develop a strong research team, manage related research project progress. On the other hand, you will identify research opportunities, and actively participate in existing research activities, conduct innovative research, and publish significant research articles.

2.You will actively seek for funding from the national research programs, such as the 863 and 973 projects. For more information about the 973 and 863 projects, please visit the websites http://www.973.gov.cn and http://www.863.gov.cn, or the other related funding from related industries.

3.Through your effort, you will eventually realize fast prediction of ocean acoustic field and its time-space-frequency characteristics, obtain ocean dynamic effects on ocean acoustic propagation, reverberation and noise quantitatively, and lead research team to conduct national flagship research, and fulfill the research work arranged by the Institute of Acoustic in realizing the Third Term Knowledge Innovation of the IACAS based in the Knowledge Innovation Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Job selection Criteria

1.You have comprehensive knowledge on ocean acoustics studies, and have profound research experience in ocean acoustics and inverse problem research.

2.You have profound research experience on ocean acoustic propagation, reverberation and noise, and publish a few excellent articles and books in recent five years.

3.You have strong research experience on ocean acoustic inverse problems, such as ocean bottom acoustic inversion, ocean acoustic tomography, and source localization, and publish a few excellent articles and books in recent five years.
