Prof. SUN Changyu graduated form the Electronics Department of Peiking University in 1981 and began to work in CAS Institute of Acoustics at the same year. From 1993 to 1994, he went to RIKEN to have further study. Now he is the director of Weak Acoustical Signal Detecting and Processing Laboratory, supervisor of doctor candidates, Fellow of Acoustics Society of China, board member of Sino-Japan Science and Technology Communication Society.

Prof. SUN Changyu has been devoted himself to the researches of underwater physics, underwater engineering, digital signal processing, sonar design and so on. He won three CAS Science and Technology Progress Awards and two patents. Prof. SUN published more than 50 academic papers in domestic and abroad journals, wrote more than 30 research reports and participated into the translation of 2 works. He also has cultivated many excellent postgraduates, doctors and postdoctors.
