At the invitation of Prof. WANG Haibin the head of State Key Laboratory of Acoustics, the delegation led by Prof. YANG Fan from University of Burgundy-Franche-Comte (UBFC) visited the Institute of Acoustics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (IACAS) in July 2019.

On July 19, 2019, Prof. YANG attended the academic communication activities hosted by the Shanghai Acoustics Laboratory, IACAS. On July 22, the delegation visited IACAS in Beijing, and Associate Prof. Yannick Benezeth introduced the research progress of Emotional State Classification using Pulse Rate Variability.

Since July 2017, the State Key Laboratory of Acoustics of IACAS and the ImViA Laboratory of UBFC have made a series of research cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence, pattern recognition, and ocean information techniques and acquired numerous valuable achievements.

In February 2019, IACAS and UBFC established the “Sino-French Smart Ocean-Oriented Innovation Talent Cultivation Project” which obtained the funding of the China Scholarship Council. This project plans to cultivate 6 young talents oriented to the Artificial Intelligence Ocean Information techniques in the next 3 years.
