From Oct.31 to Nov.5, WANG Wen and HUANG Yangqing from Research Center for Ultrasonics and Technologies of IOA participated in the IEEE SENSORS 2015 in Busan, South Korea. An oral presentation was given.

The IEEE SENSORS Conference was intended to provide a forum for research scientists, engineers, and practitioners throughout the world to present their latest research findings, ideas, and applications in the area of sensors and sensing technology. IEEE SENSORS 2015 included keynote addresses and invited presentations by eminent scientists.

Sensors based on SAW (Surface Acoustic Wave) are very potential research hotspots, which is widely applied in the fields of gas detection and physical parameters (such as temperature, angular velocity, and acceleration). The oral presentation WANG Wen given was named “Sensitivity improvement of SAW acceleration sensor with excellent temperature stability”. In this presentation, he introduced that by implementing a new piezoelectric material, the temperature stability was less than 0.8Hz/℃ between 20℃ to 60℃, which was a great progress to implement SAW accelerometer in industry.

The IEEE SENSORS 2015 was a good opportunity to exchange state-of-the art information in sensors and their related fields with researchers, developers, and practitioners from diverse fields including international scientists and engineers from academia, research institutes, and companies.
