IACAS signed the “Strategic Cooperation Agreement” with China Cable Television Network Co., Ltd on Dec.21 at Haikou city.

Early in 2006, IACAS started the journey of cooperation with China Cable Television Network Co., Ltd (China Cable) in the fields of digital cable TV, IP TV technology, interactive new media network, service science and engineering and highly trustworthy network.

The “Strategic Cooperation Agreement” is to strengthen and deepen cooperation for both sides.

Leaders from IACAS, China Cable, Science and Technology Department of Hainan Province attended this signing ceremony. Altogether seven organizations witnessed the sign of the agreement.

In the signing ceremony, General Manager of China Cable, SHEN Xiangjun, said that both sides are now working hard on the Next Generation Broadcasting (NGB) and “One-three-six project” (National cable television network interconnection platform), as well as triple play program and establishment of the National Broadcasting Network Company.

All these will benefit Hainan province in the ways of scientific and technological innovation and industrial transformation.

President of IACAS WANG Xiaomin highly appreciated cooperation with the China Cable which is the nation’s largest TV network operator and confirmed the efforts of Hainan Basement of the National Network New Media Engineering Research Center of IACAS with China Cable.

Under this agreement, the Hainan Basements of the National Network New Media Engineering Research Center of IACAS as well as the China Cable aim to continue and solidify the partnership by putting forward leapfrog development for Hainan broadcasting network service and providing the technical service platform for strategic emerging industries.

During the signing ceremony, guests also paid an inspection visit to the basements of IACAS and China Cable.
