(From Key Laboratory of Noise and Vibration Research) On March 29, 2012, 3rd Annual Meeting of the Academic Committee of Key Laboratory of Noise and Vibration Research (KLNVR), was held in Institute of Acoustics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IACAS).

Under the chairmanship of Prof. TIAN Jing, the director of the KLNVRAcademic Committee, Prof. YANG Junas the director of KLNVRreported on the main progress of research work of KLNVRin last year. He analyzed the existing problems, made the research focus on the several areas and targets, gave the roadmap of KLNVR development during the Twelfth Five-Year Plan, and gave executable plan of the following four years. Prof. LIU Bilongand Prof. SUI Fushengmade reports titled as “Researches on Noise Transfer Characteristics of Wall Board of Large Passenger Aircrafts” and “Acoustical Design Optimization Technique of Rail Vehicles”, respectively.

All members of the Academic Committee were involved in a lively discussion and fully exchanged their opinions. They celebrated the achievements in the last year, and affirmed the roadmap, plan and targets of KLNVR during the Twelfth Five-Year Plan. And they gave some constructive suggestions for the ongoing projects, fundamental research, fostering experts, constructing of facilities, the opening up, the management and development direction, etc.

On behalf of IACAS, Prof. WANG Xiaomin, Director of the Institute, highly affirmed the achievements of KLNVR in last year and he set great hope that the Lab could inherit good traditions and grasp valuable chances for further development.
