'Shaoxing-CAS (Chinese Academy of Sciences) Strategic Industrial Technology Cooperation' was held in Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province, August 31, 2011. The activity was on the agenda of Shaoxing 2011 'Celebrity Hometown' summit conference. ZHOU Guangzhao, who is the vice chairman of the Ninth NPC Standing Committee and honorary chairman of China Association for Science and Technology, attended the opening ceremony.

More than 40 experts and professors from CAS Beijing and Shanghai area met and communicated with more than 50 companies. They sought for cooperation in areas such as optical and electrical integration, electronic information, new materials, pharmaceutical and chemical science. Director JIN Saimin and Associate Researcher LI Honglang, both from Institute of Acoustics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IACAS) joined the activity.

LI Honglang introduced IACAS and recommended more than 10 key projects. One of the projects gained a lot of attentions from companies and further cooperations will be discussed in the future. Shaoxing TV news channel and Shaoxing Daily had an exclusive interview about the event.
