The 10th European Conference on Underwater Acoustics (ECUA 2010) was held from 5 to 9 July, 2010 in Istanbul, Turkey. Delegates from 48 countries & regions attended the conference. The main topics of the conferences covered following areas: Underwater Acoustics, Acoustical Oceanography, Engineering Acoustics and Signal Processing in Acoustics.
MA Li and LU Licheng of Key Laboratory of Underwater Acoustic Environment, Institute of Acoustics, Chinese Academy of Sciences attended the conference and their papers Geoacoustic Inversion under Range-dependent Water Environment and Target Localization Research Based on Mode Function Estimation were published in the proceeding.
More Information about ECUA:
The European Conference on Underwater Acoustics "ECUA" has been initiated by the European Commission with the help of three European Acoustical Societies (IOA, DEGA, SFA) and became an established and renowned conference series, thanks to their support.
The first conference was held in the European Parliament buildings in Luxemburg in 1992 with very active support of the EC. Subsequent conferences have been organized every two years. ECUA is now a self running conference organized by an ad-hoc committee.
It gathers 300 to 600 participants from all over Europe and attracks an important contribution from the American Colleagues (about 30%).
