A strategy workshop on Signal and Information Processing study was recently held in IACAS for keeping the research direction developing in a sound way.

First of all, WANG Jinlin, Director of National Network New Media Engineering Research Center made a report on development strategy of network new media. On the basis of briref introduction of our nation's strategic demand and planning in information field and Next Generation Broadcasting, Prof. Wang analyzed network and new media research in our country from current industry state, technology developing trend and signififant projects and concluded the achievements the Center had obtained during the past several years. He also emphasized the importance of independent intellectual property rights. Then, GU Yaping of East sea station, WANG Donghui of Digital System Integration Lab and ZHOU Xu from High-performance Netwrok Lab made reports on the research progress in their labs, respectively.

After the reports, Director WANG Xiaomin, Deputy Director JU Qi and Deputy Director LI Fenghua put forward their opinions on the reports. The leaders all spoke highly of the workshop and thought it would play an important role for the futre development of this research direction.
