(From SU Shaowei of DSP) On Shanghai General Assembly for Science and Technology Award of 2007, "The Key Technology of High-performance Broadband Information Network (3TNet)" undertaken by IACAS, won the first prize of Science and Technology Progress award.
As the general leader of Operation and Application Support System of 3TNet, National Network and New Media Technology Research Center ("The Center" for short) organized the development of related subjects of application support, and finished the researches of "The development of broadband information network operation support environment and access system" and "The development of network TV access system and the engineering of terminal equipment". The Center proposed and realized the service process for "3Tnet" network television and multimedia interactive services and the service system architecture for operations which supported streaming media services; those were both based on High-performance broadband information network model. Additionally, it successfully developed the key systems equipment with independent intellectual property rights for the operations of streaming media service of broadband network. The key systems were the Business Operation Support System (BOSS) and the Business Network Management System which was in line with business needs of broadband information network. They made the first carrier-grade support for business applications of IPv6, and broke the limitations of access control for multicast technology, and realized the single domain multicast control which based on the user. They also verified the feasibility of user-oriented OSS platform in a virtual operating environment, and completed the development of broadband network television service access system and application support system. With those system equipments, the Center provides carrier-grade equipment for the demonstration network in Yangtze River Delta. Meanwhile, the Center proposed 17 technical specifications and testing norms of related equipment during researching the projects, and constructed the test platform and developed some testing methods for terminal volume test, and applied more than 30 invention patents.
