(From CUI Jie of Medical Acoustics Laboratory) The eleventh "Golden Bridge Award" and 2008 work meeting of Beijing technology market was held on Mar. 5 in Chinese international science & technology convention center. The research on "Hearing rebuilding system with high resolution and multi-channel" undertaken by medical acoustics laboratory of IACAS won the 3^rd prize of project group. Mr. Huang Zheng the assistant of director, Ms. Hao Huining of medical acoustics laboratory, and Mr. Zhang Wei of science & technology department took part in the meeting.

The "Golden Bridge Award" of Beijing technology market aims to honor the collectivity, project group and individual, who have contributed to convert the science and technology resource of Beijing to real productivity. "The hearing rebuilding system with high resolution and multi-channel" is undertaken by medical acoustics laboratory of IACAS, and to help the severe hearing loss patients rebuild hearing by transforming acoustical signal to electronic signal, processing the electronic signal, transmitting it to the cochlea and directly simulating the remnant auditory nerve. Our research ability for that project is advanced in the trade, and the function for Chinese distinguishing is superior to the oversea similar system. Furthermore, the system will fill the domestic blank, and serve the healing of deaf people; thus it has huge social and economic benefit.

This honor also praised the management of technical contract in IACAS. In recent years, IACAS took up with the regular management of technical contract and tried the best to maximize the benefit of technical resource. Under the struggling work of science & technology office and relative laboratories, IACAS registered 17 technical contracts successfully in 2007, valued nineteen million and fifty thousand yuan.
