Shipborne part of the high precision acoustic positioning system of beach shallow sea ceophone, which is undertaken by the Weak Acoustical Signal Detecting and Processing Laboratory of IACAS, successfully passed the acceptance test in the water area around Beijing from Nov.24 to 27.
In recent years, with the increasing demand of the energy, beach shallow sea became one of the hot petroleum exploration areas. But the drifting of the data collecting cymoscope obstacled the way for collecting high quality exploration data in such areas. The iamging quality of the earthquake materials was badly effected by the time difference caused by drifting. Therefore, high precise earthquake exploration in beach shallow sea must have a precise positioning of the cymoscope.
The underwater acosutic positioning system was one of the best cymoscope positiong technologies. The succssful development and induatralization of this technolgy not only could save lots of production cost but also could enchance the precision of shallow water petroleum exploration. At present, the related members were busy with the optimazing and perfecting of the system and made full preparation for the sea trial and future application of the system.
