International Conference on Chinese Computing 2007 (ICCC2007) was held in Wuhan, China, from Oct. 13 to 15, 2007. Under the leadership of Prof. ZHANG Quan, three members of ThinkIT lab participated in the conference.
ICCC was an international conference on chinese computing and first took place in 1986. This conference was jointly hosted by Center for Study of language and Information (CSLI) of Wuhan University, Chinese and Oriental Language Information Processing Society (COLIPS) of Singapore and Association for Chinese Information Processing of China.
All together, the organizing committee received 285 papers and 136 excellent ones were picked out to be presented in the conference, including 3 papers from our institute: Research on Author's Writing Style Based on Language Concept; Research on a Model of Extracting Persons' Information Based on Statistic Method and Conceptual Knowledge; and Research on Sentences Group Processing Based on Domain Sentence Category.
The conference fully reflected the current situation and latest fruits in chinese computing research both home and abroad. The conference provided us a good platform to acquire new ideas, as well to find our deficiencies, which would benefit our researches in the future.
