Associate Director Zhang Chunhua

Doctor Zhang Chunhua obtained his bachelor and  master degree from Department of Electronics of Beijing University in 1984 and 1987,respectively. With his doctoral disseration on acoustic processing system and beam forming, he got doctor degree from Institute of Acoustics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IACAS) in 1992. 

Doctor Zhang  is now the IACAS party committee secretary and discipline inspection commission secretary. He also takes the position of the  associate director of the assessment committee for master and doctor degree in IACAS. Apart from working hard in IACAS, he takes much social responsibilities with the titles such as general secratry of Chinese Acoustical Society and committee member of an information organization in Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).

Doctor Zhang started his research career  in IACAS as an assistant professor in acoustic signal processing in 1992 and  got  his promotion continuously afterwards. He was appointed to be the vice director of the sonar laboratory in 1993. For his excellent work in research and management, he was promoted to be the professor and appointed to be the director of sonar laboratory in 1996 and the director of underwater project center in 1998.

Doctor Zhang has been devoting himself to acoustic signal processing, including signal processing system, phase-array signal processing, self-adaption filtering, high-resolution spectral estimating and acoustical imaging. For his great contributions to acoustics, he was honored CAS Science & Technology Progress Award of 2nd grade and National Shipbuilding Corporation Technology Award of 2nd grade.

Besides his great contributions to practical work, Doctor Zhang also got many achievements in theoretical research. He has published many papers in the journals or international conferences home and abroad.
