The 13th ACM International Conference on Underwater Networks & Systems (WUWNet’18) was held in Shenzhen, China from December 3 to 5, 2018. As one of the sponsors, State Key Laboratory of Acoustics (SKLA), IACAS sent a group of representatives to the conference.
At the opening ceremony of WUWNet’18, Prof. WANG Haibin first presented the profile of Insititute of Acoustics and SKLA as the Keynote Co-chair of the conference, then he chaired the Technical Session I of Underwater Communication.
Researchers LI Chao, ZHANG Peng, LIU Ruoyun and WANG Yueyue from SKLA reprorted their newest research achievements in the field of underwater aoucstics to the audience.
WUWNet’18 was divided into 8 techinical sessions depending on the different underwater acoustic techiniques and applications, with 11 full papers, 19 short papers and 21 extended abstracts selected from 94 submissions reported. Additiontally, 16 posters and 8 demos were exhibitted.
Researcher of IACAS was inspired for exchanging ideas with experts in the field of underwater acoustics, and learning latest research progress and hotspots in underwater acoustic engineering from this conference.
Since 2012, WUWNet has become a standalone conference with an extended scope to underwater networks and systems.
