2009 National Environmental Acoustics Conference was held in Beihai, Guangxi Province. The conference was jointly sponsored by Environmental Acoustics Branch of Acoustical Society of China (ASC) and Environmental Physics Committee of Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences (CSES). 123 delegates from different districts presented at the conference.　

The conference had 4 sessions, coving fields of environmental acoustics, signal processing, traffic noise, and architectural acoustics. The speakers made 60 wonderful reports, which aroused warm discussion among the audience. All together, the organizing committee received 96 papers, which would be published in the supplement of Noise and Vibration Control.
